Homeboy: Loud Couture
Founded in 1988 in Frankfurt by Jürgen Wolf, HOMEBOY Loud Couture is one of the pioneering brands of European streetwear. Initially influenced by American hip-hop culture, the brand quickly established itself in the skateboarding world with the launch of its first baggy pants in 1991. This loose-fitting choice, which went against the norms of the time, shaped a new aesthetic in street skateboarding.
Throughout the 90s, HOMEBOY collaborated with several major figures in the music scene, including Ol' Dirty Bastard (Wu‑Tang Clan) , Cypress Hill and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien . On the skate side, the brand supported professionals like Mike Vallely , Matt Reason , Claus Grabke and Jürgen Horrwarth , strengthening its presence in both worlds. After a more discreet period, HOMEBOY relaunched its production in the mid-2010s with a particular focus on its original models, notably the X‑TRA BAGGY and X‑TRA MONSTER .
The clothes are now made in Turkey , with sustainable fabrics and cuts faithful to the brand's identity.
The brand is currently supporting a new generation of skaters, including Daniel Ledermann , Wanja Bach , Aimu Yamazuki and Matheus Dubronks , who continue the original stylistic approach while anchoring HOMEBOY in the contemporary scene.
Crack House is currently the only retail outlet in Canada to offer HOMEBOY products, available in-store in Montreal or online.
